Week Two Assignment

Principle: Posing

Task: Choose your own subjects to shoot using your posing guide. How can you vary the pose?

Remember: Use a shot list and pre-plan.

Post: your favorite pose with 3-5 variations (their perspective and your perspective).

Due Date: Tuesday Night

Posing??? This is what I struggle with. I always have all these ideas in my head and when I get to the shoot all my great idea's float away and I'm left looking like I don't know whats happening and hoping they are professional models that will have all these poses in their pocket, but we all know that never happens. I love Brooke's advice on showing them with your own body, I am always trying to move them with my hands like they are my dolls. It never goes over well. My week was way to crazy and didn't have any pictures lined up so I kindly asked my cute neighbors if they would model for me for these pictures.

Week 1

I planned this shoot at a location where there was a building that caught my eye. It was by a busy post office but knew I wanted some outdoor pics as well. I wanted to try and capture all by shots at the one location. I exhausted the location and realized I could make one little section of overgrown grass on the side of the parking lot look like we were in the outdoors and no one would know there was about 6 broken down cars 10 ft to the side of us. Planning before helped so much on knowing exactly what I wanted to get out of this shoot.
